5. Diagnostics, scans, and calibrations
Confirm current OEM requirements for pre-repair scans, post-repair scans, calibrations, aiming, initialization, relearns, and test procedures. A scan, calibration, wheel alignment, and road test are different operations and should not automatically be treated as interchangeable.
6. Labor type and sublet classification
Check whether each operation uses the appropriate body, refinish, mechanical, frame, glass, or structural labor category. Review sublet charges, labor hours, rates, and supporting documentation for consistency with the shop's process.
7. Documentation and estimator questions
